Medieval alchemists studied natural substances from which they also made colors. Through materials, they sought to understand the surrounding universe and the interconnectedness of all things in the cosmos and the role of the individual among the rest. The research for my work The sound resounds, the echo crystallized, the crystals melted to the sea focused on water as a medium. This chemical substance forms the backbone of our everyday life, which is exposed to constant danger in our present.​
